Amsterdam offers the largest range of attractions and accommodations in the Netherlands, which produces the highest number of overnight stays. Over the next few years, tourism is expected to continue to increase, especially from countries with a fast-growing economy.
Strong demand for international tourism across world regions reflects the global economic upswing. The growth in the number of hotel arrivals in Amsterdam is expected to level off due to the high occupancy rate. Higher growth can be expected in surrounding municipalities given the increase in hotel capacity.
