Tourism in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, 2017-2018

The City of Amsterdam has an integrated regional overnight accommodation strategy that is focused on all forms of overnight accommodation, from 1 night to 12 months. As part of this strategy, we are currently gathering more statistics on overnight stays in the region.
This report will also consider the impact indicators that form part of the European Tourism Indicator System (ETIS) developed by the European Commission. We will be addressing the economic, social and cultural impact of tourism on a travel destination: the number of jobs, increased turnover in the tourism sector and tourism intensity.
